On Monday, September 23, 2024, the Corporate Council on Africa hosted the "U.S.-Liberia Business and Investment Roundtable," during which a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Liberia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and CCA member Cybastion Institute of Technology, for the development of a data center and underwater cable to strengthen Liberia's digital connectivity.

The data center will be one of the first in Liberia and represents an important step in Liberia's digital governance and security management. Minister Nyanti expressed Liberia's commitment to digital infrastructure development, stating that "under the leadership of His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, views digital infrastructure as a cornerstone for accelerating our national development goals." Cybastion representatives commended Liberia's vision for their digital infrastructure development and articulated the significance of diasporia connections made possible through the existence of Liberia and the greater possibilities for connection through digital infrastructure. This partnership is one of many that Cybastion has undertaken to assist African governments in digital transformation initiatives.
